BIO
I'm currently living in Jay, New York. I ski out of Whiteface Mountain, in Wilmington NY, and train at the Olympic Jumping Complex in Lake Placid, NY.
My parents skied for many years together before my older brother and sister were born. They took my brother and sister(twins) skiing when they were 5 years old. The next year, when I was 2, I got mad when they wouldn't take me skiing on a New Year's Day trip. I kept begging them to take me with them, and finally that February, the week before my 3rd birthday they took me skiing. I have gone with them ever since. I really appreciate that my parents made skiing an important part of our family. I grew up with a strong skiing background and was skiing most of the expert trails at Whiteface by the time I was 6 years old. I started skiing with the Cloudsplitter Club, Dave Zientko was my instructor, when I was 8 years old and skied with them for 2 years. I really like racing on the Nastar, but I liked jumping in the Park and off rocks on the sides of the trails even more. In March of 2009, Mike Lynn, a coach with the NYSEF asked my parents if I could ski with his group for a day or two. I had a great time skiing with them, and joined NYSEF Freestyle the following year. I have been competing with NYSEF in USSA and USASA ever since. My favorite event is - slopestyle. But I also enjoy competing in rail jams, moguls, and big air. |
